Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine shop employing only four people. Overall sales for that particular year totaled $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and other parts. Throughout five years of operation, the business had expanded to 40 staff and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business opportunities. In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, fabricating and advertising hydraulic attachments. Manufacturing was completed in the year 1956 on a brand new office to be able to house all plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Subsequent to fifteen years of business, total staff reached a hundred and eighty staff and sales had reached nearly $2,300,000.

The next production plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry when the business recognized interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The company has expanded its production facilities within the U.S. with locations in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade merchandise are made worldwide due to a lot of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This facility is designed to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and 1997 after buying five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide best in forks.
